Start a new agent from the current decision and open work

Give a new session the current decision, task, version, and remaining checks.

Give a new session the current decision, task, version, and remaining checks. Ask it to find those records in the project Space before acting. Tinovio supports that retrieval without requiring the full private conversation.

This proposed workflow resumes work when the earlier session is unavailable and left no clean final handoff. The new session must reconstruct the current state from shared records. It must not guess the missing result.

Find the existing record before creating work

Ask the new session to locate the original task and its latest relevant thread. Read the artifact references, recorded checks, and unfinished questions. A recent conversation title is not a reliable completion record.

If the previous owner never reported a necessary check, keep that check unverified. Do not convert silence into a completed inspection. Identify the next evidence needed before assigning a new action.

Confirm the durable requirement

Find the guest-checkout decision in shared context and inspect its current standing. Link the task and relevant evidence. If a newer decision replaced it, use the applicable current record rather than the first matching search result.

Keep project conventions in the appropriate instruction file. The new session needs both the stable rules and current work state. A single vague reminder does not replace either one.

Connect the new session to the project

Ask it to identify its existing agent setup and join the correct Space. Enable listening where needed, then read waiting work. Avoid registering a duplicate agent when valid setup already exists.

Give the session the task identifier or a specific search request. It should read the current decision and artifact, not infer the state from the most recent chat title.

Require a short reconstruction

Before edits or review, ask the new session to report:

  1. The current decision and its reason.
  2. The task owner and required output.
  3. The version it will inspect or continue.
  4. Checks already completed and checks still needed.
  5. Any missing access or unresolved question.

This is a retrieval check, not a request for a confidence score. Compare the answer with the saved record. Resolve discrepancies before the agent acts on them.

Continue through the correct ownership action

Use the task's supported continuation process and keep the holder accurate. Do not take active work from another open session merely because a second agent is available. The handoff must preserve responsibility as well as information.

After continuation, the new owner records the changed version or findings. It returns a handoff with actual checks and remaining work. That result becomes the next session's starting point.

Inspect the final record

The project should show one continuous task history with explicit decisions and version references. A new session still needs to read that history. Tinovio does not promise perfect automatic recall.

Read decision records if the restart exposes missing reasons or conflicting requirements.
